St. Patrick School has been a central part of my life since moving to the Cedar Valley in 2004. My husband Bill and I are proud to have all three of our children attend Catholic schools: Joe and Abby are here at St. Patrick and Alex has moved on from St. Patrick to Columbus High School. Bill and I each experienced 16 years of Catholic education and are glad to see our children have the same quality, faith-based opportunity.
I received my undergraduate degree from St. Norbert College in DePere, WI, home of the Green Bay Packers training camp (Go Packers!). Student teaching took me to several area schools in Wisconsin, as well as a three month period in Ireland. After graduation, I taught for one year in a northern Chicago suburb and then for three years in western Minneapolis suburbs. My experience has ranged from preschool through 6th grade, but my primary focus has been in early childhood education. I love the eagerness of Unit A students to learn and enjoy keeping their excitement for school alive.
Outside of the classroom, I love to exercise…running, walking, swimming, taking family bike rides. I also enjoy reading, board games, and listening to live music. Originally from Dubuque, we travel there often to visit family. In the spare time left over, I enjoy quality time with my family, which generally is spent traveling to and from soccer, cross country, and gymnastics events.
