We strongly believe that field trips are a vital component of the the educational process. Students have opportunities for observation and hands-on activities that cannot be done in the classroom.
Our two school buses and downtown location make many activities possible, whether it is a trip out of town or a visit to one of many locations in the Cedar Valley. All grades enjoy symphonies, plays, and musical productions at the Gallagher Bluedorn, Waterloo Center for the Arts, and Oster Regent Theater.
Students in early elementary grades take learning on the road to places such as Hansen's Dairy Farm, the National Cattle Congress, the Grout Museum, the Phelps Youth Pavilion, the Victorian Home & Carriage House Museum, and the Cedar Falls Public Library.
Time outside of the classroom enhances curriculum in the Middle School grades with experiences such as the Mississippi River Museum, Living History Farms, the Iowa State Capitol Building, Blank Park Zoo, the Science Center of Iowa, World's Window, and Hartman Reserve Nature Center.
