Students may choose to enjoy in-depth experiences in clubs and activities led by teachers, parents, UNI students, and parish and community volunteers.

Registration forms should be turned in before the first meeting a student attends, so we know he or she has permission to participate. For clubs that include a supply fee, please include payment with the registration form. Start dates for activities will be announced at Monday Morning Prayer and on our School News page.  


Art Club – Grades 3-8, meets once a month on Fridays from 3:20-4:30 (Sept. – Apr.)

Students learn art techniques and skills while completing fun projects with UNI Art Education majors.  First semester dates are Sept. 28, Oct. 19, Nov. 2, and Nov. 30.  Second semester dates will be announced later.

Healthy Foods SIE – Grades 1-4 & Grades 3-8, meets several times throughout the year

The Healthy Foods SIE will introduce students to healthy food options.  Grades 1-4 will focus on trying new foods and learning about healthy options.  In the grades 3-8 sessions, students will learn about healthy foods and help make healthy snacks.  Mrs. Kettman will lead this group.

FIRST Lego League, Junior  - Grades 1-3 & FIRST Lego League – Grades 4-7, dates TBA

Students are introduced to science, technology, engineering, and math concepts while working with Legos to examine real-world scientific problems.  A separate FIRST Lego League letter will have more information and registration.  Mrs. Willett coordinates this activity.

Maker Kids – Grades 3-8, meets on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:20-4:30 (Sept. – Apr.)

The St. Patrick maker space has a variety of tools and materials available for our students. This year there will be specific tools and project focuses that will be open to various grade levels. Please see the sign-up sheet for specific activities that will be offered each month.  Tuesdays will be work time for independent projects by approval. Thursdays will be for the monthly focus projects.  It is led by Mrs. Steinfadt.

Math Counts – Grades 6-8, meets on Wednesdays from 1:30-3:00 (Sept. – Mar.)

Students work in a group setting to solve problems that cover concepts in Algebra, Geometry, Logic, Probability, and more.  Students interested in competition or in improving their math skills are encouraged to attend.  It is led by Mrs. Funk.

Music SIE – Grades 7 & 8, meets on Fridays from 3:20-4:00 (Oct. – May)

Music SIE is an extra-curricular singing group created to give students the opportunity to develop independence in part-singing while working together with a group to create vocal harmony.  The group will perform on Thursday, Dec. 13 & Thursday, May 2 at 7:00 p.m.  This group is led by Ms. Smith.
