My name is Rosa Maria Guadalupe Hernandez Mata. I was born and raised in the Mexican city of Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila on December 1.
I completed college and earned my teaching certification “licenciada en Educacion Primaria” (elementary teacher grade) in the same city.
At 21 I married Roberto Verastegui and I have two beautiful children, Natalia Verastegui, 6, and Roberto Jr, 4.
Through the years I have volunteered with the Legionaries of Christ, assisted with multicultured events with Sr. Genove in Washington state. Now I am a volunteer dance teacher in my parish at Queen of Peace.
Prior to moving to Iowa in 2005 my family lived in Washington state. When I’m not teaching Spanish at St. Patrick School, one could find me waitressing at “Los Cabos” or enjoying my family. |
