Saturday & Sunday, January 30 & 31
- Please wear your school T-shirt to Mass this weekend!
- St. Patrick students and families will be altar servers, lectors, and gift bearers during the 10:00 Mass. St. Patrick students will sing during the preparation of gifts at the 10:00 Mass. A St. Patrick alumna will speak at Mass.
- Parents and teachers will be serving coffee, doughnuts, and bagels after Sunday Masses. A school slide show will be playing in the gym during this time.
- A St. Patrick student will design this weekend's cover for the bulletin.
- Look for the family projects hanging in the hallway next to the Deery library.
Monday, February 1 - Service
- We will have Monday Morning Prayer at 8:50AM in the MPR to allow preschool students and parents to join us for prayer. The teachers will also draw box lunch winners!
- Each unit will complete a service project today.
Preschool - bring in used greeting cards for recycling
Kindergarten - Donate a gently used winder item for the Salvation Army
Unit A - Donate a used children's book for the House of Hope
Unit B - Make recycled greeting cards to be sold at the parish office.
Unit C - Donate one canned good for the Northeast Iowa Food Bank
Grade 7 - Volunteer at the Western Home
Grade 8 - Volunteer at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank
Tuesday, February 2 - Morals
- Join us for Mass planned by our student council at 8:45AM. The Second Annual Shamrock Award honoring an outstanding volunteer or alum will be announced at Mass.
- Teachers will eat lunch with the individual students drawn from the box lunch raffle.
- Students will be bringing home a thank you project for their parents about the morals they have learned while attending St. Patrick School.
Wednesday, February 3 - Faith
- The all-metro Mass is at 9:30AM at Columbus High School.
- Students are to wear their school peace T-shirts with uniform bottoms.
Thursday, February 4 - Discipline
- With the money collected from box lunch raffle, students will receive popcorn and juice as a special treat.
- Students will be learning about saints as "Models of Discipline" in religion classes today.
- The spirit rally and eighth grade/staff volleyball game will begin in the gym at 1:45PM
- Students may dress in green and yellow attire today to show their school spirit.
- Come to the family dance planned by the CPTO. It will be held from 6-8:30PM in the gym. Admission is $5 per family or $2 per person. There will be snacks, drinks, and pizza available for purchase as well. All students must be accompanied by an adult.
Friday, February 5 - Knowledge
- A staff lunch in the MPR is being organized by the CPTO. (If you are available to help with recess or lunch supervision please let Miss Meyers know.)
- The students will participate in BINGO and an "Amazing Race" type activity with a buddy class beginning at 1:45PM. (Miss Meyers is accepting new/used donations for BINGO prizes.)
- Today is an out of uniform day for students and staff. Thank you for your support of Catholic Schools!
