Spanish | The objective of the preschool-grade 8 Spanish program at St. Patrick School is to offer the students an opportunity to learn a new language. The communication with other cultures in the same language provides diverse opportunities for the leaders of tomorrow.
Studies show that students who learn another language at an earlier age tend to demonstrate greater cognitive development and creativity and have increased abilities in ready, writing and math.
Standards: - Unit D classes will have the ability to hold basic conversations with another person who speaks Spanish.
- Unit B and C learn vocabulary and meaning in Spanish
- All students will have the confidence to speak openly with another who speaks Spanish.
